About Me

I'm a software engineer with a focus on distributed systems, developer tooling, and infrastructure. I've spent the last several years building backend services and internal platforms that help engineering teams move faster without breaking things.

My career started in web development — Rails and jQuery, then React and Node.js as those ecosystems matured. Over time I gravitated toward the infrastructure layer: service meshes, observability pipelines, build systems, and the tools engineers use every day.

I care about software that is fast, simple, and easy to reason about. I'm skeptical of complexity added in anticipation of future requirements that never arrive, and I think the best systems are often the ones where you can fit the mental model in your head.

When I'm not writing code, I'm usually reading about it — distributed systems papers, language design, or whatever rabbit hole the current project has opened up. I'm based in [City, Country] and occasionally available for consulting on infrastructure and platform engineering projects.
